So the news has finally come out that Sergey Sirotkin will be racing in Formula 1 in 2018 at Williams F1 alongside Canadian driver Lance Stroll. For me this news is very sad but also depressing as Williams are going with two pay drivers in that car instead of drivers who actually deserve that seat on pure racing talent. For example Pascal Wehrlein should for me get that seat as he has clearly proven that he is good enough for Formula 1 by scoring points in awful cars such as the 2016 Manor and 2017 Sauber. Also current Ferrari test driver Daniil Kvyat is just another name of the many names that for me clearly deserve this Williams drive ahead of Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin.
And after this news one thing has become clear to me, Williams need to change what they are currently doing. For me Williams need a major management overhaul so they can try to bring in personnel who actually know what they are doing and are good at what they do, But if that cannot be achieved then for me Williams should either sell the team or massively advertise the team to big investors to invest in the team rather than buy it because if Williams continue the way they are going then they will absolutely be at the back of the Formula 1 field. Some big times and decisions are ahead for Williams, Lets hope they don’t damage their reputation any further.
